I WANT MY CLIENTS TO BE CLEAR ON MY PROCESS BEFORE, ON, AND AFTER THEIR WEDDING DAY. BELOW YOU'LL FIND A DETAILED TIMELINE AND DETAILS ON OUR TIME TOGETHER.
ANY QUESTIONS? I'M HAPPY TO HELP!

1. SWIPE RIGHT

Before you hire me for your big day, we need to make sure we’re a good fit. When you inquire about my wedding photography services, I’ll send over a short questionnaire that will help me get to know you as a couple and I’ll be able to get a feel for the style of your wedding, the kinds of photographs you’re looking for and any other expectations you have for me as your photographer. If questionnaires aren’t really your thing, a chat on the phone is great, too, or perhaps we can meet up over a cup of tea, coffee, or a tasty adult beverage :)

2. HAVE QUESTIONS?

In addition to a chat, I’ll ask you to take a look at my FAQ page. This will answer most questions that you. Still need more info? No worries! Let's get in touch and chat!

3. THE INVESTMENT

Your wedding images are forever so I believe that wedding photography is an investment.  One day your children and your children’s children will pour over your wedding album and will be able to re-live one of the most memorable days of your life. Your wedding images will become a part of your family’s history and to me that is something worth investing in.

I like simplicity and I prefer to not try to tie my couples to a timeline, so I offer one comprehensive package of products and services that are most popular with my clients. Let me tell your true wedding day's story, the whole story,  not just parts of it.  I'll arrive while you're getting ready and leave once I've covered the main events at your reception. This usually takes 6-8 hours. While I believe that full day coverage is preferable you may not need me for that long. So, I do offer ala carte pricing so your coverage and product choices can be customized to your need.  Once your package is chosen, you will be sent a digital contract that we will both sign and a link to an invoice to pay the non-refundable retainer. Once both are received, you are officially booked! Awesome!

4. GET TO KNOW YOU SESSION.

If you included a Get To Know You session (aka engagement session)  in your collection, we'll schedule that. A GTKY session is a great way for me to learn more about you as a couple and lets you practice in front of the camera. You also get comfortable with my shooting style and instructions. You can also schedule a bridal portrait session or a boudoir shoot at this time if either of those are something you'd be interested in doing.

5. SHOOT, EDIT, DELIVER.

After I’ve photographed your GTKY session, you’ll receive a link to view your proofs at the online, private password protected gallery. You’ll then be able to purchase and download the digital files and  prints in your on-line gallery.  You could use these images for wall art, a “Save the Date” photo-card, or a sign-in guest book for the wedding day.

6. PRE-WEDDING PREPARATIONS AND TIMELINE

We will try to keep in-person meeting to a minimum, you will have a lot of irons on the fire and I want for you to have one less thing to worry about. After we’ve agreed to work together, you’ll receive a wedding day questionnaire for you to fill out with information about your wedding day. This helps me to prepare and stay organized and will contain a timeline, shot list, locations and vendor info. Some of my bride use this to help themselves keep organized for the wedding. It's my experience that one-two conference calls are typical but of course I'm willing to discuss and/or meet with you as much as we need to do so.

Planning to take your photos around good lighting is crucial to getting the most out of your photography. If you have a wedding planner or a day-of planner at the venue, please be sure I am involved in the creation of the wedding day timeline. This is one of the most important details to complete in preparing for one of the most important days in your life.

7. PREP & TRAVEL

The day before the wedding, I pack my bags, charge my batteries, format my memory cards and load up the car.

If I’m traveling from out of state, I always arrive at least a day before the wedding. I spend the extra time scouting the venue and looking for interesting places to shoot your portraits.

8. THE WEDDING

I shoot. I sweat. I dance. I laugh. I cry. I work my ass off for you!

9. POST PRODUCTION,  PRINTS & ALBUMS, & DELIVERY

2-3 weeks after the event the initial editing and retouching of the images will happen. We will schedule an ordering session before the wedding day for you to review the images and the album pre-design as well as make your order for wall prints and gift prints.

I’ll help you to choose images and design for your album and wall portraits. Depending on how fast you choose your images, finalizing the album design takes about a month after presenting the initial design.

After the ordering session, I’ll upload them to an online gallery for your family, friends, and vendors to view and for you to downloads the high-resolution .jpg files. I want you to be the first to see the images before anyone else does so no sneak peaks on Facebook, or my Blog until you've had a chance to look at the images.

Product delivery varies depending on vendors. Most products can be delivered 2-3 weeks after the order is placed with the vendor. Albums can take longer usually 4-6 weeks after ordering. Orders are first delivered to me for a QA check and I will let you know if the order is ready and arrange for pick-up or prepare and ship it for delivery to you.

10. THE FUTURE

I’ll be there for you when you start your family and as you all grow older. Check out my portraits section of this site! I will be around for those family photo that document your life changes,  if you need a new headshot, or want to feel sexy and celebrate yourself. let's keep in touch!
